Germany is moving troops to the border with Belarus - with the aim of protecting the eastern flank in Lithuania, the permanent deployment of nearly 5,000 German soldiers is planned. This is reported by UNN with reference to Bild.

The formation of the German brigade is proceeding according to plan. Regarding the first stage of formation, the schedule is ten months ahead. This means that significant progress has been made in creating the infrastructure and will allow the second stage to begin earlier
Lithuanian Defense Minister Robertas Kaunas notes that the troops will now be stationed near the Belarusian border on a permanent basis, and therefore new residential buildings, educational institutions, and hospitals are being built.
