"We must not and will not accept the fact that this place of healing for children with cancer no longer exists in Ukraine," said Schulze in an interview with the Rheinische Post newspaper published on Wednesday, July 17.

The money, along with funds from other donors and donors, will be used to quickly bring the hospital back into operation and prepare the building for winter use. In particular, the funds will be used to repair and maintain the hospital's facades, treatment rooms, as well as electricity and heat supply, the publication says.

According to Schulze, the destruction of the children's hospital shows "how ruthlessly and inhumanely Russia is waging this aggressive war." The minister added that children suffer "the most" from Russia's full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
