233 battles took place at the front over the past day, with the largest share — up to a third of all engagements — on the Pokrovsk, Kostiantynivka and North Slobozhanskyi axes, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported in its morning briefing on August 7, UNN writes.
A total of 233 combat clashes were recorded over the past day
Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile strike, using one missile, carried out 91 airstrikes, and dropped 308 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it used 10,621 kamikaze drones and carried out 3,176 strikes on settlements and the positions of our troops.
Over the past day, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces struck two UAV command posts, six artillery systems and 18 areas where enemy personnel were concentrated.
Situation by axis
On the North Slobozhanskyi and Kursk axes, one engagement with the enemy took place over the past day; the aggressor carried out two airstrikes, dropping six aerial bombs, and conducted 55 attacks on the positions of our troops and settlements.
On the South Slobozhanskyi axis, the enemy attacked the positions of our units 20 times in the areas of the settlements of Starytsia, Lyman, Vovchanski Khutory, Dvorichanske and toward the settlements of Izbytske, Hoptivka, Vilcha, Volokhivka, Shev’iakivka and Khatnie.
On the Kupiansk axis, there were two enemy attacks toward Kivsharivka and Bohuslavka.
On the Lyman axis, the enemy made eight attempts to break through our defenses, attacking in the area of Yampol and toward the settlements of Ozerne, Novoselivka and Dibrova.
On the Sloviansk axis, the enemy launched 16 assaults in the areas of the settlements of Zakitne, Kryva Luka and Riznykivka, and toward Mykolaivka and Rai-Oleksandrivka.
On the Kramatorsk axis, Russian invaders carried out four attacks in the areas of Pryvillia and Nykyforivka, and toward Malynivka and Tykhonivka.
On the Kostiantynivka axis, the enemy carried out 25 attacks in the areas of the settlements of Kostiantynivka, Ivanopillia, Illinivka and Rusyn Yar, and toward the settlements of Dovha Balka and Stepanivka.
On the Pokrovsk axis, our defenders halted 26 assault actions by the aggressor in the areas of the settlements of Shakhove and Udachne, and toward the settlements of Toretsk, Kucheriv Yar, Bilytske, Novyi Donbas, Shevchenko, Matiusheve and Novopidhirodne.
On the Oleksandrivka axis, the enemy carried out two attacks toward the settlement of Yehorivka.
On the Huliaipole axis, the occupiers carried out ten attacks toward the settlements of Rivne, Huliaipolske, Staroukrainka and Charivne.
On the Orikhiv axis, our defenders halted one attempt by the enemy to advance toward Pavlivka.
On the Dnipro River axis, the enemy conducted no offensive operations over the past day.
On the Volyn and Polissia axes, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected.
