The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Dmytro Lubinets posted a video of the first minutes of the Ukrainian military's return home on Telegram. The video shows the first emotions of Ukrainian defenders and calls to their families, UNN reports.
"The first emotions of a returning Defender home. It is impossible to contain my feelings! Welcome home!" Lubinets captioned the video.
In the video, a Ukrainian soldier kneels down and cries.
The Ombudsman also published a video of the returned soldier calling his family.
"Conversations with family members are touching! These are the moments for which a large team of people works," Lubinets said.
