Expenditures from the general fund of the State Budget of Ukraine in the first quarter of 2024 amounted to UAH 692 billion and exceeded revenues to the same fund by UAH 223.1 billion for the same period, the Ministry of Finance reported on Wednesday, UNN reported.

In January-March 2024, the general fund of the state budget received UAH 468.9 billion, the Ministry of Finance reports, citing data from the State Treasury Service.
At the same time, in January-March of this year, the cash expenditures of the state budget amounted to UAH 839.1 billion, including the general fund - UAH 692.0 billion, according to the Treasury.
The unified social tax revenues to the pension and social insurance funds in January-March 2024 are expected to reach UAH 118.7 billion.
Overall, in the first quarter of 2024, the general and special funds of the state budget received UAH 641.1 billion in taxes, fees and other payments.
Actual public borrowings to the general fund of the state budget in January-March 2024 amounted to UAH 473.6 billion, or 97.0% of the planned amount for this period. In particular, UAH 116.3 billion was allocated from the placement of domestic government bonds. At the same time, UAH 96.4 billion was raised through the issue of military domestic government bonds. UAH 357.3 billion (or about USD 9.2 billion) was received from external sources.
At the same time, public debt repayments in January-March 2024 amounted to UAH 115.3 billion (92.2% of the plan), and service payments amounted to UAH 43.9 billion (88.5% of the plan).
The Ministry of Finance does not provide statistics on the budget deficit.
