The SBU has served a notice of suspicion to two collaborators suspected of involvement in the deaths of Ukrainian prisoners of war in Olenivka in July 2022. Yevsyukov and Neyolov are charged with ill-treatment of prisoners.

The former leaders of the "Olenivka colony" involved in the deaths of captured Ukrainian defenders have been served with a notice of suspicion, the Security Service of Ukraine informed on Monday, UNN reports.

The Security Service and the Prosecutor General's Office have collected evidence against two Russian war criminals involved in the mass murder of Ukrainian prisoners of war in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region in July 2022. We are talking about collaborator Serhiy Yevsiukov, former head of the so-called "Volnovakha colony of the Donetsk People's Republic" in the village of Olenivka, and his former first deputy, collaborator Dmytro Neyolov. According to the investigation, both defendants were in their "positions" when on the night of July 29, the racists organized explosions on the territory of the occupation prison

- the SBU reported on social media.

At least 50 Ukrainian servicemen who were held in custody were killed as a result of the shelling. At the same time, 9 of them died because they were not provided with emergency medical care. Almost 150 were injured.

"Both defendants were aware of the consequences of the explosions and the number of victims, but deliberately delayed the evacuation of the wounded to medical facilities," the SBU said.

Based on the evidence collected, SBU investigators notified Yevsyukov and Neyolov of suspicion under Part 2 of Article 28 and Part 2 of Article 438 (cruel treatment of prisoners of war, combined with premeditated murder, committed by a group of persons) of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

"In November 2022, the occupiers 'replaced' both defendants in their positions. They are currently hiding from justice in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk region. Comprehensive measures are underway to find and punish the criminals for their crimes against Ukrainian soldiers," the SBU said.
