European Commissioner for Defense Andrius Kubilius stated that Russian dictator Vladimir Putin is becoming increasingly desperate, and Europe must be prepared for possible incidents on its territory. This is reported by UNN with reference to Euronews.
Details
The head of the EU defense department warned that Moscow will continue to provoke Europe as its positions on the front line weaken.
Kubilius also mentioned the murder last week of Russian dissident Semyon Skrepetsky, who lived in Poland, claiming that he was killed "because of his paintings about Putin".
Unfortunately, more such attacks may occur — and even worse ones. Not only in Ukraine, but also in Europe
Furthermore, the European Commissioner stated that the EU has allocated the necessary funds for defense — referring to loans worth 150 billion euros under the SAFE (Security Action for Europe) program. Options are currently being considered on how to change defense procurement rules and market regulations.
Now we must create a market for our defense. This is urgent and important, and we must do it as quickly as possible
Reminder
Italian Foreign Minister Antonio Tajani stated that the European Union must maintain consistency in its sanctions policy and refuse to purchase Russian energy carriers if it seeks to force Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to sit down at the negotiating table.
