On December 26, 2023, SE NNEGC Energoatom announced in the Prozorro electronic system that it had concluded an agreement with Westinghouse Electric Company LLC for the purchase of equipment for the implementation of the AR1000 nuclear power plant. The contract is worth USD 437.5 million

It is noted that on December 17, Energoatom and Westinghouse signed an agreement on the purchase of a reactor unit for Europe's first nuclear power unit using AP1000 technology.
