Billionaire Elon Musk said he plans to allocate about $45 million to a new political super PAC supporting Trump.
The committee aims to persuade voters to cast their ballots early, especially in swing states, in an effort to counter Joe Biden's campaign, which has invested millions in swing states.
Musk said he would also contribute to the American PAC. However, the South African-born businessman was not listed among the individuals in the group's application, which was made public on Monday. More than $8 million has already been raised, the publication reports.
