Electricity consumption today is lower than on the previous working day, Friday, November 15, amid large-scale blackouts in Odesa region as a result of Russia's attack on energy and some warming, the need for economical consumption remains throughout the day, NPC Ukrenergo reported on Monday, UNN writes.
Consequences of shelling
"Emergency repair works are underway in Odesa region after a massive enemy missile and drone attack on power facilities on November 17. Power engineers are gradually connecting the de-energized consumers. The consumption restriction measures in place in other regions are not being applied in Odesa region today," the statement said.
The company said that "due to the enemy's massive attack on the power grid the previous day, today in Ukraine there are measures to limit consumption for industrial and household consumers. From 6:00 to 22:00, two rounds of blackouts are applied simultaneously.
Consumption
Today, on November 18, as of 5:00 a.m., the level of consumption was 7% lower than at the same time on the previous business day, Friday, November 15. "This is due to the power outage of a significant number of consumers in Odesa region as a result of the attack on the power grid the previous day. It is also due to the increase in air temperature compared to last week," Ukrenergo noted.
"There is a significant power shortage in the power system. Please use electricity sparingly throughout the day. Do not turn on several powerful electrical appliances at the same time from 6:00 to 22:00," the company emphasized.
