On April 4, a couple was killed in a Russian attack on the village of New York in Donetsk Oblast. In addition, two other people were injured. They were hospitalized. The information about the victims of Russian aggression was updated by the press service of the Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office, UNN reports.
The occupiers' shells hit the territory of the private sector, killing a couple - a 53-year-old man and a 51-year-old woman. Their 77-year-old relative was also in the garden with them and was injured. In addition, a 74-year-old local resident was injured in the attack. Both victims were hospitalized with shrapnel wounds.

According to the investigation, the occupation forces of the Russian Federation attacked the village of New York, Bakhmut district, on April 4, 2024, at 17:00. Probably, they were aiming for artillery.
The Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has launched a pre-trial investigation in a criminal proceeding over violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
