Russia's Severstal, which is under Western sanctions, has signed a contract in China to supply equipment for the construction of a new iron ore pelletizing complex. This is stated in the company's statement, UNN reports.

The Russian company does not name the contractors with whom it signed the contract, speaking only of "Chinese partners."
It is noted that in 2026, Severstal wants to build a complex for the production of iron ore pellets with a capacity of 10 million tons per year on the basis of the Cherepovets plant, worth about 97 billion rubles.
Supplement
The company plans to supply the main technological equipment from China. The first deliveries of equipment are scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2024. Construction of the new shop will begin in January 2024.
