The SBU and the National Police detained 5 Russian agents who detonated an explosive device near the district police department in the center of Zhytomyr on November 20, reports UNN with reference to the SBU.
According to the SBU, the attackers acted on the order of the Russian special services, who recruited them through Telegram channels to search for "Fast Money". To commit a terrorist attack, the detainees remotely detonated an improvised explosive device near the building of the local district police department.
According to the instructions of Russian curators, they filled the explosives with nails and disguised them in a thermos, and its detonation was carried out "remotely" using a mobile phone. At the same time, agents installed hidden video cameras on the spot, which recorded the explosion in real time.
Then, as a result of the explosion, one law enforcement officer who was at the scene was injured.
All five terrorists, who acted separately from each other, were detained "in hot pursuit" in the Regional Center. Among them is a 46-year-old Kharkiv resident who twice served a sentence for robbery and robbery.
According to the instructions of the invaders, the recidivist bought components for explosives, which he then hid in a pre-agreed cache.
Further enemy tasks were performed by residents of Zhytomyr aged 15, 16, 18 and 20 years. Two of them took these "components" from the cache and, according to the schemes provided to them, made an explosive device in a rented apartment.
Two other accomplices installed video cameras near the state institution, planted explosives there and set it off.
