The High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a bail of UAH 7 million on the director general of the Energoatom unit in the case of embezzlement of UAH 100 million during the construction of a spent nuclear fuel storage facility. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SAPO.
On November 28, 2023, with the participation of the SAPO prosecutor, the HACC investigating judge imposed a preventive measure on the Director General of a separate division of the State Enterprise NNEGC Energoatom, who is suspected of causing almost UAH 100 million in damage to the state during the construction of a spent nuclear fuel storage facility
Details
It is noted that the court partially granted the motion of NABU detectives, agreed with the SAPO prosecutor, and applied a preventive measure to the suspect in the form of bail in the amount of UAH 7 million.
The court also imposed certain obligations on the suspect:
- to notify the detective, prosecutor, or court of any changes in his place of residence and place of work;
- to refrain from communicating with other suspects in the case and witnesses;
- to deposit his passport for traveling abroad and other documents entitling him to leave and enter Ukraine with the relevant state authorities;
- to wear an electronic monitoring device.
