The Bulgarian president explained this decision by the fact that MPs are not sufficiently familiar with the specific parameters of the supply, which makes it impossible to objectively assess the need for the equipment provided.

In particular, according to Radev, the armored off-road vehicles provided to Ukraine can be used specifically to protect the Bulgarian border and provide assistance to the population in the event of disasters and accidents, including in hard-to-reach areas.

I am guided by the conviction that the safety, health and life of Bulgarian citizens should be a priority

- assures the Bulgarian president.

To recap

The Bulgarian government has approved a draft agreement between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine on the free provision of armored vehicles. Ukraine will receive 100 armored personnel carriers.
