Eleven people were injured when a Bulgarian cruise ship crashed into a concrete wall in a sluice on the River Danube in the northern Austrian town of Aschach an der Donau overnight, local police said on Saturday, UNN reports citing Reuters.

There were about 160 passengers on board the ship, which was traveling from Bavaria in Germany to the Austrian city of Linz, according to a police spokesman for the neighboring city of Eferding.
According to the spokesperson, 11 of the injured were taken to hospital, and the ship was able to continue moving after the accident.
The spokesman added that it was not yet clear how serious the injuries were.
Local media reported that six other people were less seriously injured and did not require hospitalization.
