Broken teeth, crushing victories, a fight and the first sensation: the result of the second round of the UPL

 • 232775 переглядiв

Three crushing victories by Vorskla, Rukh and Karpaty, a terrible injury to Ingulets midfielder Marian Mysyk, who lost two teeth and temporarily lost his memory, the first sensation followed by a fight - this is how the second round of the Ukrainian Premier League went. UNN decided to tell you the results of the round, new achievements of the round, and what the next round of the UPL will be remembered for.

The round opened on Friday with a match in which Vorskla defeated the debutant of the elite division, Livyi Bereh, away. On the same day, Dynamo played its opening match in the new draw of the domestic championship, visiting Veres Rivne, in which Kyiv won with a minimal goal "gaffe" by Kyiv goalkeeper Ruslan Neshcheret.

On Saturday, Chornomorets lost to Zorya at home, and Kolos drew with Ingulets at home.

Sunday's matches pleased the fans more, as two crushing victories were recorded on that day, as well as the first sensation in the UPL - last season's winner Shakhtar Donetsk lost to Zhytomyr's Polissya. This match was also remembered for the fight at the end of the match.

On Monday, the final match of the round was played by LNZ Cherkasy and Oleksandriya from the city of the same name in Kirovohrad region.

L'viv Bereg vs Vorskla

The second round of the UPL was opened by two losers of the previous round - Kyiv's L'viv Bereg and Poltava's Vorskla. In their debut match in the Ukrainian Premier League, L'viv Bereg lost narrowly to Cherkasy's LNZ (1-0), while Vorskla lost 5-0 at home to Shakhtar Donetsk.

It was expected that Kyiv would be able to compete for a point in this match, given the unsuccessful previous performance of Poltava, but no miracle happened. Kyiv got three goals in their goal.

Until the 15th minute of the match, the teams played positional soccer, rarely running out to attack. In the 16th minute, Vorskla defender Ihor Perduta had an opportunity to score when he shot into the near corner of Maksym Mechaniv. The goalkeeper repelled the shot with his foot, but the side referee recorded offside.

In the 20th minute, Left Bank had a half-chance. On the left flank, Oleh Synytsia tried to shoot into the center of the goal area, but the Vorskla defender was the first on the ball, knocking the ball away, which was picked up by Mykola Kohut, but his shot failed and the "leather" flew well above the goal.

In the 26th minute, Taras Halas had a real opportunity to open the scoring in the UPL. The same Kohut passed the ball along the left flank and, holding it a little, waiting for his partners, passed it to the center to Sinitsya, who, with a slashing pass, cut off two Vorskla defenders, brought Galas on a "date" with the goalkeeper, who shot into the center of the goal. Pavlo Isenko reacted calmly.

Until the end of the first half, these were the only chances for the two teams, as evidenced by the statistics of shots - 2:2.

Within 5 minutes of the start of the second half, Vorskla managed to open the scoring. In the 50th minute, Kane made a cross to the near post from a corner, which ended in a dump to the far post, where it seemed that Mekhaniv was going to get the ball in his hands, but the goalkeeper let it slip out of his hands and onto the foot of Artem Chelyadin, who was agile in the penalty area. Chelyadin handled the ball with his first touch and scored past Mekhaniv with his second - 1-0.

After 6 minutes, Perduta made a successful cross to Oleksandr Sklyar, who was alone in the Kyiv penalty area, but the implementation failed the Poltava midfielder, who failed to hit the ball.

Two minutes later, the White and Greens managed to achieve their goal. "Vorskla ran out on the counterattack, where on the right flank Kane played Kovtalyuk into the wall and rolled to Chelyadin's left. It would seem that the moment was lost, because Chelyadin failed to handle the ball successfully at first, after which he fell down, but without meeting resistance from the defenders of the Left Bank, he still passed it exactly to Kovtalyuk, who started this attack, successfully closing the ball with his head - 2: 0.

Until the end of the match, each team exchanged dangerous moments, but lacked a final pass or an accurate shot. In the third minute added by the referee, Vorskla's left back Ilya Krupsky, who was on the right flank, successfully passed past two Kyiv players to Kovtalyuk, who passed to Khrypchuk, who successfully rolled to Krupsky, who ran down the flank. Krupsky, having beaten the defender, passed to Demir Shkriel, who rolled his heel to the far post, where Serhiy Myakushko was faster - 3: 0.

Facts

Serhiy Dolgansky's team thus broke a streak of 11 matches without conceding a goal in the Ukrainian Championship, which began on March 15. The Poltava team was one step away from repeating their anti-record for all the years they have played in the UPL.

"Left Bank played its 1st home match in the UPL.

Artem Chelyadin played his 100th match in the UPL. It should be noted that another Vorskla midfielder Andriy Batsula could have played his 100th match as well, but Dolgansky did not substitute him.

Veres vs

The second match on Friday in Rivne was played by the local Veres, which was visited by Dynamo Kyiv. The Rivne team drew with Karpaty in the last round, while Dynamo missed the first round due to European competitions. By the way, Kyiv has already played three official matches: twice against Serbian Partizan - the total score was 9:2 and against Scottish Rangers - 1:1.

Until the 10th minute, the teams played positional soccer, creating almost no chances. We can recall a cross from the right flank by Vladyslav Sharay, but the ball flew past all the players, including Veres players.

In the 11th minute, Oleksandr Andriyevsky found Denys Popov with a free kick, but he missed from a very favorable position.

In the 15th minute, Vladyslav Supryaha had a great chance to score. Kyiv captain Vitaliy Buyalsky brought Supryaha out one-on-one, but Vladyslav went a little to the right and struck. Right into the goalkeeper.

A minute later, Mykola Shaparenko scored a goal that could be in contention for the best goal of the round. Buyalsky, being near the Veres penalty area, rolled the ball to the left to Vladyslav Kabaev. Kabayev took the ball badly, letting it go far away from him, but still managed to save it for the team. Kabayev passed the ball back to Shaparenko, who unleashed a cannon under the crossbar - 1: 0. Kyiv is ahead.

Within a minute, Shaparenko could have scored a double, but he didn't hit the ball properly. Buyalsky gently threw it into the penalty area, where Nazar Voloshyn was the first on the ball, who shot along the goalmouth, where Shaparenko could only hit the ball, but it went past Kozhukhar's goal. The case when it is much easier to score at this moment than in the previous episode.

In the 36th minute, the White and Blues could have doubled their lead, but didn't take their chance. Voloshyn threw the goalkeeper over in a great way, but Roman  Goncharenko was there in time to help.

At the end of the first half, Kyiv managed to double their lead with a beautiful combination. Vladyslav Dubinchak passed the ball down the flank, passed to Shaparenko in the penalty area, tamed the ball in two touches, and dumped it to Buyalsky, who shot the goalkeeper from about the edge of the penalty area - 2: 0.

After the break, Kyiv could have brought the score to a crushing one, but Maxim Bragar's shot was not accurate.

In the 62nd minute, Veres managed to reduce the deficit thanks to an epic foul by Kyiv goalkeeper Ruslan Neshcheret. Instead of making a normal clearance, the Dynamo goalkeeper simply pushed the ball forward, which hit Sharay and flew into the Kyiv goal - 2:1.

In 10 minutes, Kyiv had two great chances to score a goal against Veres. In the first episode, Dubinchak made a powerful shot on Kozhukhar's goal, but he hit the crossbar. In a minute, Bragaru did not realize a one hundred percent chance. He made a great connection to the attack, received the ball from Buyalsky, but couldn't finish. He shot straight at the goalkeeper.

At the end of the match, Nescheret managed to make amends for the first goal he conceded. In the 92nd minute of the match, Iago Siqueiro scored just inside the nine, but Neshcheret was at his best. "Dynamo immediately launched a counterattack, Matviy Ponomarenko beat the Veres goalkeeper outside the penalty area and had to pass to his partner on the empty net, but instead shot past the goal. The match ended with a score of 2:1.

Another match on Saturday was played at the Kolos Stadium in Kovalivka, Kyiv region, where Ingulets visited the local Kolos. The match turned out to be somewhat boring, as it ended with "dry zeros" on the scoreboard, as evidenced by the statistics of shots - 5 against 4.

In the 12th minute, Kolos defender Andriy Tsurikov could have scored on the takeoff, but the ball went past after being passed.

In the 29th minute, Ingulets had their moment. Volodymyr Bilotserkivets ran the ball down the flank at speed, fired from the front to the center, but his partner flew past the ball.

In the 39th minute, Ingulets had a super moment. Roman Volokhaty was shooting from outside the penalty area, but Kolos goalkeeper Ivan Pakholyuk read the play, started moving to the right in advance, and got the ball out of the top corner.

Two teeth were knocked out. The doctor gave his prognosis - do not touch the player for 10 days, and then we will see how his rehabilitation will go," said Vasyl Kobin, Ingulets coach, after the match about Mysyk's condition.

Karpaty vs Kryvbas

Another match was played at the Ukraina Stadium in Lviv by Karpaty, who hosted Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih. In the first round, Karpaty drew with Veres 0-0, while Kryvbas beat Chornomorets 1-0. "Kryvbas approached the match in a somewhat depressed mood, as they had lost to Czech side Viktoria 2-1 in the Europa League.

The teams had plenty of chances in this match. Kryvbas could have opened the scoring in the 9th minute, but Oleh Kozhushko failed to beat Oleksandr Kemkin.

Two minutes later, Kozhushko had another great chance. Maksym Lunyov gently passed to Oleg, but he missed the goal from a few meters.

In the 18th minute, the visitors earned a penalty kick. Dmytro Khomchenovskyi received the ball in the penalty area, threw it away for himself, and Vladyslav Baboglo stepped on his foot at that moment and the referee blew the whistle.

However, Karpaty goalkeeper Kemkin pulled Lunev's shot to his left, and Oleksandr guessed the direction and confidently deflected the ball.

Three minutes later, Yuriy Vakulko missed another Kryvbas chance. Oleksandr Drambayev made a great break on the left flank, beat the opponent and fired to the goalkeeper's line, but Vakulko failed to cross the ball into the goal in a fall and it flew out of bounds.

Within three minutes, Karpaty doubled their lead. In high spirits, the hosts actively moved forward, Ambrosiy Chachua fired from the left flank to Vladyslav Klymenko in the penalty area, he rolled to Polehenko and Pavlo shot on goal, and the ricochet allowed the ball to find its way into the net and prevented Klishchuk from stopping it - 2: 0.

Until the end of the match, the teams exchanged dangerous moments, but the ball did not go into the goal. In the 80th minute, Chachua brought the score to a crushing level. Alvarez scored from long range, Klishchuk parried the shot and knocked the ball in front of him, which Chachua ran on and scored on goal while the goalkeeper was lying on the lawn. It is worth noting that at the end of the match, Kryvbas coach Vernydub did not shake hands with Karpaty coach Vladyslav Lupashko.

Lupashko's reaction speaks for itself

"The opposing coach didn't seem to notice me and walked past. As for the game. This victory is not yet our victory in terms of style of play. But there should be such victories as well. There are different matches, there are different parts of the match in which you need to be stronger in terms of character. That's why we are still very far from what we want to see," Lupashko said after the match.

In the first round, Cherkasy snatched a victory from UPL newcomer Left Bank in extra time, while Oleksandriya missed their match because the head coach of the White and Greens Ruslan Rotan was at the Olympics, where he coached the Ukrainian Olympic team.
