Russian army losses in May and June increased on average per day and amounted to 1,262 soldiers killed and 1,163 wounded. In total, Russia has probably lost more than 70,000 people in killed and wounded over the past two months, according to a new report by the British Ministry of Defense based on intelligence, UNN reports.
Details
A British intelligence report says that the increase in Russian army losses is due to Russia's opening of a new front in the Kharkiv region, while maintaining the same pace of offensive operations along the front.
It is noted that effective Ukrainian defense and lack of Russian training reduce Russia's ability to exploit any tactical successes, despite attempts to stretch the front line.
In the next two months, the number of casualties in the Russian army is likely to continue to exceed 1,000 per day as Russia continues to try to attack Ukrainian positions en masse
