Drivers blocked on the Ukrainian-Polish border due to the strike of Polish carriers have been delivered the necessary food and medicine. This is reported by the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure of Ukraine, UNN reports.

Yesterday, November 25, the team of the Ministry of Community Development, Territories and Infrastructure together with the Association of International Road Carriers distributed 2500 thousand liters of water, 1200 meals and necessary medicines to drivers blocked in front of the Dorohusk-Yahodyn checkpoint.

The World Central Kitchen team has also been actively helping for 10 days. During this time, the team has distributed almost 14 thousand hot meals

"Yahodyn-Dorohusk" is the largest cargo checkpoint in Ukraine. Every day, 680 trucks can pass through it to enter and exit.
Currently, due to the blockade of the border on the Polish side, several dozen trucks cross this checkpoint per day. In addition, more than 800 trucks are waiting in a physical queue on the Polish side of the border.
The agency reminded that last week, as part of the Headquarters' work, food, water and medicines were delivered to drivers waiting for a long time at the Korczowa-Krakowiec and Rava-Ruska-Hrebenne checkpoints. Currently, the number of trucks in the physical queue on the Polish side is 700 and 600 vehicles, respectively.
