The police of Lviv region are establishing the circumstances of the attempt on the life of public figure Iryna Farion and are taking measures to detain the shooter, reports UNN.

According to the National Police, the incident occurred today, July 19, at about 19:30 on a street in Lviv. An unknown person fired a gun at a 60-year-old woman. Doctors hospitalized the victim with a head wound.
Investigators, operatives, and the leadership of the Lviv regional police are working at the scene. Measures are being taken to identify and detain the shooter, law enforcement officials added.
Although the National Police does not name the public figure, a deputy of the Lviv City Council previously reported an attempt on the life of linguist Iryna Farion.
