The May assassination attempt on Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico, who is recovering from gunshot wounds, has been reclassified as a terrorist attack, whereas previously it was an attempted murder. The change in the legal classification of the crime was announced by the country's Prosecutor General Maros Zilinka on Facebook, UNN reports.

"In the case of the attack on the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic, the legal qualification of the prosecuted act has been changed. Based on the evidence obtained, the prosecuted act will be legally qualified as a particularly serious crime of a terrorist act," wrote Zylinka.
