Today, on July 27, laws came into force that provide for the abolition of taxes and duties on the import of goods necessary for the production or repair of mechanized demining machines, as well as for energy equipment. This was reported by the State Customs Service, UNN reports.

From 00:00 hrs. On July 27, Laws of Ukraine No. 3853-IX and No. 3854-IX of 16.07.2024, which provide for the application of exemption from customs duties on the import of certain types of goods, come into force
It is noted that goods are exempt from customs duties and VAT:
- power generating equipment;
- equipment for wind and solar power generation;
- batteries (except for low-power batteries).
Also, equipment for the manufacture of technical intelligence countermeasures and/or repair of mechanized demining machines is exempt from customs duties when imported.
In addition, tactical headphones for special military use are exempt from taxation.
"The privileges apply to such important defense equipment as electronic warfare equipment. Not only anti-drone guns, but also other electronic means of detecting and countering unmanned aerial vehicles will be imported into Ukraine for defense purposes without paying customs duties. We would also like to draw your attention to the fact that the adopted legislative changes provide for preferential importation into Ukraine of such important goods as power generators, inverters, lithium-ion batteries and charging stations based on them, as well as solar panels for repair and/or replacement of damage and expansion of the capacity of existing solar power plants," the customs office said.

On July 16, the Verkhovna Rada adopted as a whole draft laws No. 11258 and No. 11259, with amendments providing for exemption from customs duties and VAT on imports of energy equipment.
Yesterday, on July 26, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed bills that provide for the abolition of tax and duty on the import of goods required for the production or repair of mechanized demining machines, as well as for energy equipment.
