Apple has released a security update that is “recommended for all users” to address the effects of active cyberattacks targeting Mac users.
Writes UNN with reference to TechCrunch.
Apple has confirmed that Mac users have been targeted by hackers. But the company's specialists have released security updates “recommended for all users.” This is important to fix several security bugs that were used in cyberattacks.
It is noted that Intel-based Macs are at the highest risk.
Macs powered by Intel processors are particularly at risk. iPhone and iPad devices, including older versions of iOS 17, are also affected.
To fix the bugs, Apple has released a software update for macOS, as well as patches for iPhone and iPad, including for users running an older version of iOS 17.
The bugs are considered zero-day vulnerable because Apple did not know about them at the time of their exploitation.
