On the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Volyn Tragedy, Ukraine's Ambassador to Poland Vasyl Bodnar laid a wreath at the monument to the victims in Volyn Square in Warsaw. This was reported by the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Poland, writes UNN.

The embassy also noted that Ukraine advocates for establishing the full historical truth, continuing search and exhumation works, as well as for a professional dialogue between historians of the two countries.

The diplomatic mission stressed that, despite the difficult pages of shared history, Ukraine and Poland have a common future. That is why, the embassy noted, it is important to jointly honor the memory of the fallen, establish the historical truth, and build bilateral relations on the basis of mutual respect and trust.
