The Nordic countries are providing Ukraine with new support packages in the form of air defense, artillery, and financial assistance: Denmark is offering $1 billion and Norway more than $400 million, as announced by President Zelenskyy.

Denmark, Norway, Finland, Iceland, and Sweden have announced the formation of new support packages for Ukraine, which will include, in particular, air defense systems, artillery, and financial assistance. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy in his address, UNN reports.

I have returned to Ukraine - now in Lviv - with a decision on the European Union and other things that will strengthen. AIR DEFENSE.  There will also be more support packages. We had a good summit with the Nordic countries. Our friends, I thank you for your support. Strong decisions

- Zelensky said.

According to him, Denmark is preparing a new aid package worth a billion dollars, including to protect Ukrainian skies and to supply the Ukrainian Armed Forces with artillery.

"Norway - a new package, more than 400 million dollars. In particular, air defense. Finland is also preparing a new package," the President said.

Iceland is also preparing a program of long-term financial support. According to the President, it is "very significant". Sweden is also preparing a new package.

"There is a strong statement of the Ukraine plus Northern Europe summit - another political projectile that brings our victory closer. The visit to Argentina means that we are actually restarting relations with the entire Latin American region. Thank you for hearing clear words of support," Zelensky summarized.

Addendum

Also in his address, Zelenskyy reacted to the European Council's decision to start negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU.

"A really strong result for both Ukraine and the whole of Europe. Another step towards Ukraine's full membership in the EU. We have fulfilled the recommendations of the European Commission. We have removed all doubts," the President said.

As Zelenskyy noted, Ukraine has repeatedly proved what it is capable of. "There will be another victorious decision - there will be a time when we will be able to celebrate Ukraine's accession to the EU," the President emphasized.
