In Kyiv region, a man was detained who was found in the yard of a high-rise building with an automatic weapon in his hands, the regional police reported, UNN reports.

"In the city of Irpin, police detained a 51-year-old man who was illegally possessing firearms and ammunition. The offender faces up to seven years in prison," the Kyiv regional police reported on Telegram.
The other day, the police received a report of a violation of silence in one of the apartments of a multi-storey building.
"Arriving at the scene, police found a man in the yard of the house with a bag and an automatic weapon in his hands," the police said.
It is noted that law enforcement officers found and seized from the suspect: cases of hand fragmentation grenades and UZRGM-type fuses for them, an assault rifle and magazines for it, a silencer for firearms, a TT pistol, a combat revolver and more than 400 rounds of ammunition of various calibers.
The police detained the suspect and placed him in a temporary detention center. He was served a notice of suspicion (Part 1 of Article 263 of the Criminal Code).
