On the evening of March 20, a freight train reportedly hit a man in Bila Tserkva.
The driver, seeing the man, sounded the horn and applied emergency braking, the police said. However, the collision could not be avoided and the man died on the spot.
Investigators have launched a pre-trial investigation under Part 3 of Article 276 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of the rules of safety of movement or operation of rail, water or air transport).
