The Ministry of Economy proposes to raise minimum prices for alcoholic beverages, UNN reports.

The Ministry of Economy has put up for public discussion a draft resolution that proposes to increase the minimum prices for alcoholic beverages.
The Ministry is confident that this will increase revenues to the state and local budgets in the amount of about UAH 300 million, as well as reduce the number of deaths caused by alcohol consumption.
This is how it is proposed to raise prices for:
vodka - from UAH 89.4 to UAH 93.6 per 0.5 liter bottle;
whiskey, rum, gin - from UAH 179 per 0.5 to UAH 203;
cognac (three asterisks) - from UAH 128.3 per 0.5 liter bottle to UAH 136;
cognac (four stars) - from UAH 139.3 to UAH 148.6 per 0.5 liter;
cognac (five stars) - from UAH 151.6 to UAH 161.4 per 0.5 liter.
There are also plans to increase the price of ordinary brandy from UAH 118.6 to UAH 124.8 per bottle. In addition, the prices of cider may increase from UAH 29.8 to UAH 55 (per liter), sparkling wines in 0.7 liter and 0.75 liter glass containers from UAH 109 to UAH 122, and natural grape wines in 0.7 liter glass containers from UAH 42 to UAH 66.
