Forty tombs, several buildings on stilts and wells dating back to about 4500-5500 years have recently been found in the city of Changzhou, East China's Jiangsu Province, Xinhua reports UNN.

The site is located on an oval mound surrounded by more than 10 small flat foundations and ditches with double water systems. According to the Nanjing Museum, the total area is about 1.5 million square meters. Scientists have been excavating the site since 2019.
