At least 13 different arsons - of cars, fireworks, buildings - have occurred in Russia over the past two days, UNN reports citing the Baza Telegram channel.

Five arson attacks took place in Moscow and the Moscow region. On December 20, a police car was set on fire in Butovo, and a bank branch was set on fire on Yan Rainis Boulevard. On December 21, three fireworks were set off at once; in two MFCs and a Russian Post office.
In Krasnoyarsk, a student set fire to a bank, and in Tver, an unknown person poured gasoline on a parked police gazelle and set it on fire. In Rostov-on-Don, a man staged a pyrotechnic show in a bank branch. In Tobolsk, a railway snowplow was burned, and in St. Petersburg, a police car was set on fire. In the morning, two old ladies set fire to it at once. Also today, there was a real explosion in a bank: a pensioner poured flammable liquid into an ATM and then lit a match. She filmed all her actions on video.
"All cases are the result of fraudsters. First, they cheat victims out of their money, and then offer to return it for arson, or come up with a story about attackers who need to be smoked out," Baza said.
