President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Thursday that he had a conversation with German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, during which he emphasized the importance of EU unity in approving negotiations on Ukraine's accession to the EU and allocating 50 billion euros in aid, UNN reports.

The President indicated that he was grateful for the powerful "winter" defense package from Germany, including four IRIS-T systems, and for the multi-year financial assistance program. "These are the best signals of Germany's unwavering support. I really appreciate that all our agreements are being implemented," he emphasized.
According to him, he also told the German chancellor about his morning visit to Kupiansk, as well as Kherson, Mykolaiv and Odesa the day before.
He also spoke about the situation in the Black Sea, the functioning of the "grain corridor" and the efforts needed to further protect civilian navigation,
Zelenskyy also thanked Germany for its participation in the implementation of the Peace Formula, in particular for the participation of an advisor in the meeting in Malta and its readiness to take part in the next meeting.
