Ukraine is experiencing a "critical moment" in the war started by Russia and is in urgent need of additional support from the West. This was stated by US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, UNN reports citing Le Monde.
"We are at a critical point where it is absolutely essential to provide the Ukrainians with what they still need to defend themselves, especially in terms of ammunition and air defense," Blinken said at a news conference alongside the French defense minister.
According to Reuters, Blinken said this is another reason why the supplemental budget request that President Biden has made to the U.S. Congress should be implemented as soon as possible.
Supplement
U.S. Secretary of State Anthony Blinken, during a meeting in Paris with French Defense Minister Sebastien Lecornu, noted the continued cooperation with Europe to support Ukraine and called on the U.S. Congress to support Ukraine, which is at a "decisive moment," and to pass a supplemental budget request that would allow the U.S. to send more resources to Ukraine.
