Two metro stations and about 370 place names will be renamed in Kharkiv. This was reported by the city council, UNN reports.

It is noted that on Friday, April 26, a meeting of the city commission on toponymy and protection of the historical and cultural environment was held in Kharkiv. It was held by First Deputy Mayor of Kharkiv Oleksandr Novak.
Following the public discussion, the commission members supported proposals to rename a number of streets whose names are associated with the aggressor country, among other things:
- Aeroflotska Street to be renamed Antonov Street,
- Bakunin Street to Rich Street,
- Vasnetsova Street - Vsevolod Nestayko Street,
- Sibirska Street - Poliska Street,
- and Krasnoyarsky Lane is now Yuri Voronoi Lane (in honor of the Ukrainian surgeon who performed the world's first kidney transplant).
A total of 367 place names were considered for renaming. The full list is available here.
The commission members also supported the proposal to rename two metro stations:
- Pushkinska metro station - to Yaroslav Mudryi,
- and Pivdennyi Vokzal to Vokzalna.
