Two solar power plants  will be installed at the critical infrastructure facilities of one of Brovary's utility companies as part of the implementation of energy service contracts. This was announced by the mayor of the city, Ihor Sapozhko, in a comment to UNN.

Details

"We continue to work to ensure the maximum energy independence of critical infrastructure facilities. We need to ensure that the city residents have water and heat supply, and that all utility networks work in their homes. To do this, Brovaryteplovodoenergia will install 150 kW solar power plants at the water treatment facilities of the utility. The cost of the project is more than UAH 12.5 million. At the same time, the first lift station of the same utility company will be equipped with a solar station with a capacity of up to 200 kW for UAH 15 million. Currently, the project documentation is being finalized and the procurement procedure for equipment has begun.

These stations will not completely cover the demand for electricity, but during power outages these facilities will be able to operate normally," said Igor Sapozhko.

The mayor noted that attracting private investment for the energy modernization of critical infrastructure enterprises is important in the context of difficult budgetary investments during the war.

Optional

The mayor of Brovary, Ihor Sapozhko, previously reported that the city plans to install cogeneration units at five critical infrastructure facilities that will generate heat and electricity for the city's boiler houses. The works will be carried out under a memorandum of cooperation signed between Brovary City Council, Kyiv Regional Military Administration and the two companies.

Recall

A solar power plant was launched at the Brovary Multidisciplinary Clinical Hospital in late July . This became possible thanks to the implementation of the Solar Hospitals project by the RePower Ukraine Charitable Foundation and the support of international donors.
