"The second phase of our so-called election tour will now begin, namely, strikes on Belgorod and Kursk. Well, not the cities themselves, but the military facilities that are located on the territory of these cities. This will really be the second phase of our special military operation of a healthy man," said Baranovsky.
When asked what the goals of the second phase were, Baranovsky said: "By and large, we have set ourselves the task of demilitarizing the border regions, because the shelling of Ukrainian cities is taking place, including from the Belgorod region, from Belgorod, Kursk region, so you see, Vladimir Putin has opened Pandora's box. The war came first to the peaceful cities of Ukraine, now it is coming to the cities of Russia".
He said it is also their job to create a distraction so that Russia is forced to keep military reserves in the border areas.
"They could have thrown these troops into the occupied territories of Ukraine, but now they are forced to keep significant contingents in the Belgorod region. Now they are transferring emergency troops to the Kursk region, too," Baranovsky said.
He noted that Tetkino is actually in a gray area right now.
"It is absolutely definitely beyond the control of the Russian authorities, at the same time we are not establishing our authority there yet, we are not opening these temporary authorities," Baranovsky said.
