The Russian Defense Ministry claims to have shot down nine drones overnight in the Kaluga and Moscow regions.

Russia says that at night, airplane-type UAVs  tried to attack targets in Russia. The Russian Defense Ministry reported the alleged downing of nine drones over the territories of Kaluga and Moscow regions, UNN reports . 

Regular air defense systems destroyed and intercepted nine Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles over the territories of Kaluga and Moscow regions

- the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement on Telegram.

Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin also wrote on Telegram that Russian air defense "repelled an attack" by a drone on the night of Thursday, December 14.
