The representative of the Ministry of Finance Sergii Marchenko met with the Ambassador of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine Arad Benkö. The parties discussed a number of important topics, including grant support for social and humanitarian expenditures and attracting investments to increase the efficiency of Ukraine's recovery.

Minister of Finance of Ukraine Sergii Marchenko discussed with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Austria to Ukraine Arad Bencko the attraction of Austrian investments to Ukraine.
The point was made that since the beginning of the full-scale war, the number of Austrian businesses in Ukraine has decreased. But the Ukrainian government aims to introduce the necessary support mechanisms to attract and stimulate foreign investment.
It is noted that the Austrian government actively supports recovery and reconstruction initiatives in Ukraine: last year, the country allocated €10 million to the Energy Support Fund of Ukraine, and Austria provided about 275 tons of energy equipment for restoration work at Ukrainian energy facilities.
In June 2023, the Austrian Development Bank (Oesterreichische Entwicklungsbank AG, OeEB) joined the EBRD's initiative to strengthen its effectiveness in Ukraine's recovery.

Sergii Marchenko thanked the Government and people of Austria for their comprehensive assistance to Ukraine.
Since February 2022, Austria has provided Ukraine with EUR 10 million in grant budget support to cover priority social and humanitarian expenditures of the state budget.
Contributions of USD 32 million were made. Contributions of USD 32 million were made to the World Bank's Ukraine Recovery, Rehabilitation and Transformation Trust Fund (URTF).
About USD 31 million was contributed to the World Bank's Special Program for Ukraine's Recovery and Crisis Response. USD was contributed to the World Bank's Special Program for Ukraine's Recovery and Crisis Response (SPUR).
The ministry also reminds that in 2024-2027, the Ukraine Facility instrument will be launched with a total volume of 50 billion euros, as well as the introduction of a package of EU sanctions against Russia.
Arad Benkö noted that Austria's position in support of Ukraine remains unchanged, and that Austria will remain a reliable partner.
