Applications are reviewed and funds are paid out under the Brovary City Program for Partial Compensation of Electric Generators for Apartment Buildings quickly enough and without unnecessary bureaucracy. The program is working, effective and worth joining. This was stated by Anton Bobrov, Chairman of the Association of Co-Owners of the Petliury Simona 21-b apartment building, in a commentary to UNN.

The chairman noted that their HOA decided to join the program last fall. The application for compensation was reviewed by the Brovary City Council fairly quickly - within two weeks, the funds were on the HOA's account.
"We immediately calculated the generator capacity we needed to run the elevators, water, and heating. We bought the generator at the expense of our reserve fund, and it cost us about 320 thousand hryvnias to deliver it. And then we sent an application for compensation to the Brovary City Council.
At the city council, the procedure did not take long, maybe two weeks from the moment we filed the application to the moment we received the money on our account. We received the maximum amount of compensation - 50 thousand hryvnias," Bobrov said.
The head of the condominium said that their building has 17 to 20 floors and 410 apartments in total. The generator, the cost of which was partially compensated by the Brovary City Council, currently meets all the needs of the building during power outages.
"When we bought the generator last year, it only powered the water pumps and heating pumps. This year, we invested some more money, and now there is one elevator in each section. A generator provides lighting for all the corridors, and the concierge areas are also powered. We have a shelter built last year in fairly good condition, which is used as an indestructibility point: there are sockets and free Wi-Fi - everything is also powered by the generator. This generator covers all the general needs of the building. It costs up to 60 thousand hryvnias per month to maintain the generator, depending on the duration of the power outages," Bobrov explained.
He added that the members of their condominium were able to see for themselves that the program, which was launched in Brovary at the end of 2022, was effective.
"The residents of are 100% satisfied. The program is working, effective and not difficult to implement," Anton Bobrov summarized.

Brovary Mayor Ihor Sazhko denied social media posts that the program to compensate for the cost of electric generators for apartment buildings is allegedly not working. He called on condominiums and housing cooperatives to become more actively involved in it to prepare for the winter.
"The relevant program has been operating in our city since the end of 2022, and about thirty Brovary condominiums and housing cooperatives have already joined it, some of them repeatedly. The city has allocated almost two million hryvnias for compensation. In order to receive compensation for the installed generator, the management of a condominium or housing cooperative must apply to the city's Department of Housing, Infrastructure and Transport. A commission reviews the application, determines the amount of compensation and makes a decision at a meeting of the executive committee. I would like to urge all residents of apartment buildings to be active and join this program in order not to depend on power outages," said Sapozhko.
