The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a mechanism for paying housing subsidies and benefits to citizens. This is stated in the Cabinet of Ministers' Resolution No.1404, UNN reports.
Details
The Cabinet of Ministers approved the procedure for the use of funds provided for in the state budget for the payment of housing subsidies and benefits to citizens for the payment of housing and communal services, purchase of solid and liquid stove fuel and liquefied gas. It is noted that the Ministry of Social Policy is the main administrator of budget funds.
The funds are directed to for:
- payment of housing subsidies for housing and communal services, purchase of solid and liquid stove fuel and liquefied gas (housing subsidy);
- payment of to citizens for the payment of housing and communal services, purchase of solid and liquid stove fuel and liquefied gas (privileges);
- payment of expenses related to the payment of housing subsidies, benefits and additional support through a separate unit.
Main The Pension Fund's main departments calculate the amount of housing of the month, the amounts of housing subsidies and benefits that are accrued for the current month:
- to the accounts opened in authorized banks - until the 5th day of the month following the month for which housing subsidies were accrued;
- through separate subdivisions - until the 25th day of the month following the month for which housing subsidies are accrued, according to the schedule of payment of pensions and financial assistance to recipients.
Payments of of additional support will be made between January and May 2024.

Starting from October 1, Ukraine's housing subsidy is calculated for the the heating season of 2023-2024. It will be extended for the heating season automatically.
