People dressed as geese and wearing T-shirts reading "Touch me - don't touch business!" came to the business summit, where Danylo Hetmantsev, chairman of the Verkhovna Rada's tax committee, was scheduled to speak. Social networks are actively discussing the performance, and UNN has collected users' reactions.

The Mind Entrepreneur Summit 2024, a conference for small and medium-sized businesses where Hetmantsev was scheduled to speak, was attended by people dressed as geese with the inscription "Touch me, don't touch the business!" This is probably a reference to Hetmantsev's famous phrase: "What is proper taxation? It is the art of plucking a goose without it screaming." After the broadcast of Hetmantsev's address began, the "geese" began to walk around the hall in a demonstrative manner, and then turned their backs to the stage.

The media and TV channels wrote about the performance, and social media users actively commented on it.

"It's subtle and symbolic, because Hetmantsev called entrepreneurs who need to be plucked geese," wrote Serhiy Dorotych, head of the #SaveFOP movement.

"Prof. Shchypach did not bother to be present. And in vain! Geese were waiting for him there," said economic analyst Pavel Sebastianovich.

"Gorgeous geese," commented businesswoman Irina Bezuglova succinctly.

Earlier, representatives of small businesses in a poll by UNN complained about tax pressure and advised Hetmantsev to think hard about reducing the burden on small entrepreneurs, as businesses are on the verge of closing.

Recall

In an exclusive interview with UNN, Yana Matviychuk, a volunteer, founder of the creative agency ARENA CS, member of the Bord Young Business Club , said that the tax policy implemented by Hetmantsev is severely slowing down the Ukrainian economy and, if not stopped, will lead to its decline in the future.
