According to the preliminary results of the parliamentary elections in Sri Lanka, the coalition of the country's new president, Anura Kumar Dissanayake, dominates by a large margin. The UNP Socialist Party Coalition has won 63 percent of the vote, with more than half of the ballots counted.
Before the election, the National People's Front party had only three seats in the 225-seat parliament, but now its representatives are leading in most constituencies.
