Spain fully supports Ukraine's candidacy for accession to the European Union and calls for the opening of negotiation clusters as soon as possible. She also emphasized that the international situation should not distract the world's attention from the war in Ukraine.
The international situation cannot distract us from what is happening in Ukraine. We must continue to raise our voices in international arenas to mobilize third countries and encourage them to support negotiations for a ceasefire and a just and lasting peace in accordance with international law,
According to the Spanish official, Ukraine must participate in all decisions regarding its own future.
