Details

Prosecutors proved that on June 2, 2022, in the then-occupied Izium, a 35-year-old woman approached the headquarters of the Russian military: this was the place with Wi-Fi and communication. She wanted to call her brother, who lives in Ivano-Frankivsk region.

A 40-year-old Russian soldier came out of the headquarters and heard a woman speaking Ukrainian, which outraged and enraged him. He went to her with a gun and shot her in the chest. The victim died on the spot. The Russian soldier is wanted.

The sentence was handed down by the panel of the Dzerzhynskyi District Court of Kharkiv.

The deadline for appealing the decision is running.

The prosecutor's office noted that since the convict is still hiding from Ukrainian justice, the term of his sentence will begin to run from the moment of his actual detention. As long as he evades serving the sentence imposed on him by a court verdict, the statute of limitations is suspended.
