Our principle is convenient and fast services without bureaucracy. We are creating a network of veterans' spaces. Veterans will receive legal, social, informational and other types of support in one place
The second area of the new veterans' policy, Shmyhal said, is the conditions for economic activity of defenders.
First of all, it concerns employment or starting a business. Veterans can learn a new profession or improve their knowledge and skills. This can be done through the Vocational Education Centers of the State Employment Service, through training vouchers issued by the state, or through Veteran Development Centers
The third area of veterans' policy is treatment and rehabilitation.
It is our duty to help our defenders and protectors recover physically and psychologically. We have set ambitious goals to open modern rehabilitation centers for military personnel and veterans in all regions. The model of the one currently operating in Borodyanka, Kyiv region. A psychological assistance service for veterans and their families is already in place. Veterans receive reimbursement for routine dental care
The fourth area is affordable housing for female defenders.
Last year, 2.6 thousand veterans and their families received financial compensation for the purchase of housing. This year, UAH 5.7 billion has been allocated for this purpose. Veterans have access to the preferential mortgage program “eOselya” at 7% for 20 years with a minimum down payment. “It is important for us that people who defended the country have their own homes
Shmyhal outlined the fifth area as honoring the feat of the Ukrainian military.
This is a topic that covers all spheres of life, from place names and education to large-scale national memory projects. One such project is the creation of the National Military Memorial Cemetery. The government has formed a regulatory framework for this, and the location has been determined. The Parliament has voted for all the necessary legislation. It is important for the state and the nation to rethink and normalize the culture of our heroes' burial sites. To remember, honor, and educate the younger generation by the example of heroes - these are the results we want to achieve
