Several people were injured in a knife attack at a church in Walkley, about 30 km west of Sydney's central business district, police authorities said on Monday, UNN reports citing Reuters.

Police detained the man, and he is assisting police in the investigation, the police said in a statement.
The victims sustained injuries that are not life-threatening and are being provided with medical care, police said.
Local media reported that a church leader and several parishioners were stabbed during a church service. A video of the incident that circulated online showed a man attacking the speaker and stabbing him.
