Ukraine will carry out an in-depth inspection of the application of blackout schedules in the regions, said Ruslan Slobodian, head of the State Energy Supervision Inspectorate , according to a statement by the agency, UNN reports.
The State Energy Supervision Service keeps the issue of applying hourly outage schedules under constant control. We closely monitor the flow of citizens' appeals regarding unfair distribution. We have already identified several areas where an in-depth inspection is likely to take place in the near future. We will examine how the distribution system operator adhered to the principle of social justice in the distribution of electricity
He noted that Dnipropetrovs'k region is currently among the leaders in terms of the number of complaints. The in-depth inspection will obviously begin in this region, and then will be carried out in 5-6 more regions, the State Energy Supervision Service noted.
The head of the agency noted that the schedules of hourly outages may not be met due to the fact that stabilization outages are followed by emergency outages caused, in particular, by heat.
"At the same time, there are reasonable suspicions that some distribution system operators (oblenergos) did not apply hourly outage schedules correctly. We will check this carefully. Based on the results, we will issue appropriate orders to eliminate violations with recommendations for further avoidance," he said.
