The SBU has served a notice of suspicion to Oleksiy Dyumin and Yunus-Bek Yevkurov for planning and conducting an aggressive war against Ukraine. Both officials are members of Putin's inner circle and help him wage war.

Law enforcement officers have served a notice of suspicion for planning and waging war against Ukraine on Putin's aide, who is now the Secretary of the State Council of the Russian Federation, Alexei  Dyumin, as well as on Russian Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov. This was reported by UNN with reference to the SBU.

Details

The SBU emphasizes that both officials are part of the Kremlin leader's inner circle and help him wage war against Ukraine.

According to the case, Alexei Dyumin, who used to be Putin's bodyguard and later became the governor of the Tula region, "mobilized" the region for hostilities in our country.

In particular, he organized a partial mobilization of men in this area, created the Center for Unmanned Systems and set up the production of FPV drones and other unmanned aerial vehicles there, and instructed his subordinates to meet the military needs of the Russian Federation in every way possible.

In his turn, Deputy Defense Minister Yunus-Bek Yevkurov provides ongoing training for contract soldiers and those mobilized into the Russian armed forces, who then go to war in Ukraine.

The SBU investigators and prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office served both defendants suspicion notices in absentia under Art. 437 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (planning, preparation, initiation and conduct of an aggressive war)

- the SBU summarized.

Law enforcers add that the perpetrators are hiding from justice, so comprehensive measures are underway to punish them.

The pre-trial investigation is also ongoing.
