The Security Service of Ukraine has served a new suspicion on Russian propagandist Margarita Simonyan, "who called for the murder of Ukrainian children," the SBU press service said on Monday, UNN reports.

Details

"The Security Service has documented new crimes of Russian propagandist Margarita Simonyan, who called for the genocide of Ukrainians. The defendant is the head of the Kremlin's international mouthpiece, RT TV channel, and is a member of Putin's media pool. According to the investigation, she was one of the first to support the full-scale invasion of Russia and the war crimes of the Russian occupiers. Among the newly documented crimes of the defendant are Simonyan's public calls for the mass murder of Ukrainian children in December 2023," the SBU reported on social media.

According to the intelligence service, in addition, "the Russian propagandist has repeatedly campaigned for the continuation of missile and bomb attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Ukraine.

The defendant regularly spreads Kremlin narratives in the form of "author's" posts on her own Telegram channel and on Russian TV channels, the SBU added.

First of all, it is reportedly about her participation in a television program by another hostile propagandist, Vladimir Solovyov.

Based on the evidence collected, the SBU investigators reportedly served Simonyan a new notice of suspicion under four articles of the Criminal Code of Ukraine:

▪️ Part 2, Art. 442 (genocide);

▪️ Part 2 Art. 110 (encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine);

▪️ Article 436 (war propaganda);

▪️ Part 3, Art. 436-2 (justification, recognition of the legitimacy, denial of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, glorification of its participants).

Since the offender is hiding from justice in Russia, comprehensive measures are being taken to bring her to justice.

Addendum

According to the SBU, in March 2023, Simonyan was already notified of suspicion for encroachment on the territorial integrity and inviolability of Ukraine.
