The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine have exposed a former deputy head of the regional department of the Western Regional Directorate of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine for illicit enrichment. This was reported by UNN with reference to SAPO.

According to the investigation, the official acquired over 11 million hryvnias in 2023-2024, the legality of which is not supported by evidence.
The official used part of these funds to purchase a "TOYOTA RAV-4" vehicle. The remaining funds were found at his place of residence by NABU detectives during a search
The suspect has been notified of suspicion under Article 368-5 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (Illicit Enrichment). The sanction of the article provides for imprisonment from five to ten years with deprivation of the right to hold certain positions or engage in certain activities for up to three years.
