It is noted that the explosion occurred at 6 a.m. near house 2 on Ryazansky Avenue in the Nizhny Novgorod district, which resulted in broken windows in the nearest apartments.
Emergency services arrived at the scene. According to preliminary data, two people were killed in the explosion.
In particular, the local public website "Base" writes that a lieutenant general of the Russian Armed Forces, whose name has not been disclosed, and his assistant were killed in the explosion in Moscow. According to one version, the explosive device could have been attached to the handlebars of a scooter standing near the entrance.
"The explosion occurred after the detonation of an explosive device. According to preliminary data, an improvised explosive device was planted at the exit of the entrance," the statement said.
Later, it became known that Lieutenant General Igor Kirilov, the head of the radiation, chemical and biological defense troops of the Russian Armed Forces, was killed in the explosion in Moscow. The death of his assistant was also confirmed.
